Saturday is the final day of York’s season and it would be nice to have another winner there but it’s very competitive.
Another Touch is first up in the Coral Stakes. I was a fraction disappointed with his last run at Ayr but he was badly drawn that day. I wouldn’t be surprised if he bounced back and ran a better race here.
I’ll have to see what the ground is like for Dolphin Vista in the Download The Coral App Handicap. I’d like rain for him as he’s definitely best with a bit of cut. He won well at Beverley last time and is a good, tough handicapper.
Rosebride ran well when second in a Group race at Ayr last time. I’d be thrilled if she could pick up some more black type in the coral.co.uk Rockingham Stakes and it would be fantastic if she got her head in front again.
We’re double-handed in the Coral Sprint Trophy. Mayfair Lady ran well at Ripon last time and we know she goes well here having already won twice at the track. She’s not very big to be carrying top weight so we’re claiming five off her with Adam McNamara. She’ll need to be at her very best here but you never draw a line through her at York.
George Bowen has been very disappointing this season. We’re taking the blinkers off him here in the hope they may have been bothering him as he continues …
