Giants unsure if Nunez will go on NLDS roster

CHICAGO — The saga of Eduardo Nunez and his efforts to return to a playable physical condition continued Thursday, as the Giants third baseman tested his injured right hamstring in a Wrigley Field workout.
Giants manager Bruce Bochy relayed news of the workout but did not divulge specifics. San Francisco’s roster for its showdown with the Chicago Cubs (9 p.m. ET/6 PT on FS1) in the best-of-five National League Division Series is due Friday morning, so the Giants must determine whether Nunez has recovered sufficiently or anticipate that he’ll heal toward the end of the series.
