Choo on Rangers’ ALDS roster, in lineup

ARLINGTON — The Rangers have not set their postseason roster for the American League Division Series, but Shin-Soo Choo will be a part of it.

Choo missed six weeks with a broken left forearm, but was able to play in the final three games of the season. Game 1 of the ALDS against the Blue Jays is scheduled for Thursday at 3:30 p.m. CT on TBS in the United States and Sportsnet (English) and TVA (French) in Canada.

Choo was in the lineup for Game 1, batting ninth and playing right field.

Choo suffered the injury in a game against the Athletics on Aug. 15 when he was hit by a pitch. He was supposed to be sidelined for eight weeks, but made it back in six. He was 2-for-12 in three games against the Rays last weekend and had more work in a simulated game against right-hander Nick Martinez and left-hander Andrew Faulkner on Tuesday.
