The WNBA Finals matchup that many predicted back in June has finally arrived: the Minnesota Lynx vs Los Angeles Sparks
How did both the Minnesota Lynx and Los Angeles Sparks get here? To be honest? (No, not the Facebook game.) Whether it was prior to, or after the Olympic break, they’ve been the best teams all season long.
Due to a new playoff format, both teams received byes from the 1st and 2nd round single elimination games. In the best-of-five 3rd round play, Minnesota swept Phoenix, and the Sparks beat Chicago 3-1.
The best-of-five WNBA Finals series will begin October 9th in Minneapolis, Minnesota at 3 p.m. ET, and will air on ABC.
