• In New York, the Giants received the expected (nine scoreless frames from Madison Bumgarner) and the surprising (a three-run homer in the ninth against Jeurys Familia) and defeated the Mets, 3-0, to advance to the NL Division Series against the Cubs on Friday at 9 p.m. ET on FS1. Bumgarner surrendered four hits and two walks, fanned six and came away with his third career shutout (and second in an NL Wild Card Game).
