Jason Verrett Injury: Updates on Chargers CB’s Knee and Recovery

San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett suffered a partially torn ACL at an unspecified time in he first three weeks of the season and will likely undergo surgery. He has been ruled out for the season.

Verrett Comments on Injury Wednesday, Oct. 5
“My season is done with,” Verrett said, also noting he expects to have knee surgery, per Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune.
Verrett Diagnosis Revealed Wednesday, Oct. 5
Ricky Henne of Chargers.com announced that Verrett suffered a partially torn ACL. Verrett was tested after complaining of knee soreness and received the results on Tuesday, per Henne.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter added that the knee has bothered Verrett for the past two games, but he was hopeful he would be able continue to play through the injury.
