Jason Verrett Injury: Updates on Chargers CB’s Knee and Return

San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett is dealing with a knee injury and is set to undergo tests to determine if he tore a ligament.

What Verrett’s Injury Means for Chargers Wednesday, Oct. 5
According to GQ’s Rand Getlin, Verrett fears he has been playing with a torn ligament in his knee.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter added that the knee has bothered Verrett for the past two games, but he is hopeful he can continue to play through the injury depending upon what doctors discover.
Verrett, 25, has notched 13 tackles and one interception in four games in 2016.
His potential loss is a major one for the Chargers, as Verrett is their best defensive player. He appeared in 14 games last year, registering 47 tackles and three interceptions in his second season.
