China Open 2016: Wednesday Tennis Scores, Results and Latest Draw Schedule

David Ferrer and Angelique Kerber both claimed victories to progress at the China Open on Wednesday.
Ferrer, the No. 5 seed in Beijing, saw off the challenge of Fabio Fognini in two sets, winning 6-3, 6-4.
In the women’s draw, world No. 1 Kerber eventually saw off Barbora Strycova 6-3, 7-6(4) to book her spot in the third round.
Elsewhere in the men’s draw, Kyle Edmund pulled off one of the best wins of his career by knocking out No. 7 seed Roberto Bautista Agut to reach the quarter-finals. Edmund, who came through qualifying to reach the main event, triumphed in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
He will face fellow Brit Andy Murray next if the top seed can beat Andrey Kuznetsov later today.
