Martyn Meade retires Irish Rookie

Irish Rookie is to be retired to the paddocks following her fifth place behind Alice Springs in the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
The four-year-old filly, trained by Martyn Meade, was highly tried after winning both her starts as a juvenile, including a Listed race, but never got her head in front again.
