The Chicago Bulls’ backcourt depth may have taken a big hit Monday, when rookie guard Denzel Valentine suffered an ankle injury during a preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Rookie Injured in First Preseason Game Monday, Oct. 3
According to the Bulls’ official Twitter account, Valentine suffered an ankle sprain that was bad enough to keep him out for the rest of the game Monday.
Chuck Garfien of CSN Chicago provided the latest update on the injury:
Denzel Valentine tried to test his sprained left ankle. Took 3 steps, it still hurt, went back to locker room and said “Man, my first game.”
