Craig Cathcart has again been forced to withdraw from Northern Ireland’s squad because of injury with Aaron Hughes stepping in for the World Cup Qualifiers against San Marino and Germany.
A groin strain meant Watford defender Cathcart missed the 0-0 draw in the Czech Republic last month and the same issue will deprive Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill of a player who featured in every minute of his country’s Euro 2016 campaign this summer.
