Here are three interesting items from around the big leagues on Sunday …
• In Toronto’s 2-1 win over Boston, right-hander Aaron Sanchez lifted his record to 15-2 while lowering his ERA to 3.00. Both that mark and his winning percentage (.882) paced the AL. Sanchez is the first AL pitcher since John Lackey in 2007 (3.01) to claim the league crown with an ERA beginning in the threes, and only the third to do so in the DH-era (Freddy Garcia owned a 3.05 in ’01).
