‘Tottenham strong contenders’

Tottenham are “strong contenders” to win the Premier League after their 2-0 victory over Manchester City, according to Stuart Pearce.
An Aleksandar Kolarov own goal and a Dele Alli strike in the first half consigned Pep Guardiola’s side to their first defeat of the season.
The win moved Tottenham up to second in the table, just one point behind Manchester City – meaning the north London club continued their best-ever start to a league campaign.
