Susac’s first ’16 homer lifts Crew in 10th

DENVER — In a replay of the night before, the Rockies came back against Brewers closer Tyler Thornburg before losing it in extra innings on a homer. This time, the honor went to Andrew Susac, whose two-run shot propelled the Brewers to a 6-4 win on Sunday at Coors Field.
The Brewers took a one-run lead in the eighth on Domingo Santana’s two-run homer off Carlos Estevez, but they coughed it up in the next frame. Thornburg blew his third save in five days when Jordan Patterson brought Nolan Arenado home with a single in the ninth inning. However, the Brewers took the lead for good — just as on Saturday, when Chris Carter launched the go-ahead shot in the 10th.
Susac’s home run was his first in a Brewers uniform. They acquired him in a Trade Deadline …
