Mehronissa to return in 2017

Mehronissa is likely to be put away for the season following her gallant effort behind Shalaa in the Bengough Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
The Ed Vaughan-trained filly pushed the proven Group performer, who was coming back after a lengthy lay-off from injury, hard in the final furlong and was just a neck down at the line.
The Newmarket trainer is unlikely to send her to Canada where she holds an entry in the Nearctic Stakes at Woodbine later this month.
“She ran her heart out. She’s fine this morning – she didn’t leave an oat,” said Vaughan.
