Oliver: Boxing safety improved

Spencer Oliver has reflected on his own career-ending injury and the changes in safety measures as boxing mourns Mike Towell.
Dundee welterweight Towell passed away at the age of 25 in the wake of Thursday’s fifth-round stoppage defeat to Dale Evans.
Former European super-bantamweight champion Oliver suffered a life-threatening brain clot in 1998 after being halted by Serhiy Divakov at the Royal Albert Hall and recovered but was forced to retire from the sport.
