Alli reflects on ‘crazy’ year

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has reflected on a “crazy” year since his club debut, including adapting to life in London and his England call-up.
The 20-year-old made the move from boyhood club MK Dons in February 2015, spending the rest of season with the League One side before making a permanent switch to White Hart Lane that summer.
He made his Tottenham debut on August 8 against Manchester United – replacing Eric Dier in the 77th minute – before scoring on his next appearance against Leicester and was then awarded with a first start against Sunderland a few weeks later.
Alli’s meteoric rise continued as he received his first senior England cap after just two U21 appearances and represented his country at Euro 2016 in France – all in the space of a year.
“The last 12 months have been crazy. It feels like so much longer than a year,” the youngster told Patrick Davison ahead of the Nissan Super Sunday clash with Manchester City live on Sky Sports.
“I remember this time last season, I was still just trying to get in the starting 11 and trying to get playing and show what I can do. Things have been crazy ever since.
“It was hard moving from Milton Keynes to London and trying to get my way into the team, not really knowing that many people down here and trying to make this my home.
“It happened naturally and I felt comfortable straight away. I was working with the manager and in training and trying to get into the starting 11.
