Kluber to throw bullpen session Sunday

KANSAS CITY — The Indians have yet to reveal the specifics of their American League Division Series rotation against the Red Sox. Part of the delay stems from the fact that Cleveland needs to see how ace Corey Kluber responds to throwing off a mound again.
Manager Terry Francona indicated on Saturday that Kluber is scheduled to throw a bullpen session prior to Sunday’s game in Kansas City. If that workout takes place as planned, it will mark Kluber’s first time off a mound since he sustained a mild quadriceps strain on Monday in Detroit.
“He’s doing well,” Francona said on Saturday. “He went out and did some running and some agility stuff today. He’s doing better.”
Barring any setbacks, Kluber is in the plans for either Game 1 (Thursday) or Game 2 (Friday) against Boston in the ALDS. Kluber, Francona, pitching coach Mickey Callaway and Cleveland’s medical …
