Fantasy Football Week 4 Rankings: Flex and PPR Outlook for Each Position

With Thursday Night Football in the books, it’s time to take a look at the best fantasy options for the Sunday games and Monday Night Football.
As well, we’ll break down a few players you should consider for your flex spot and dole out some PPR advice, too. There’s a little something for everyone.

Cam Newton slowed down a bit in Week 3 against a solid Minnesota Vikings defense, but he should have a field day against an Atlanta defense giving up 24.7 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, 31st in the NFL.
The Falcons are also giving up 120 yards rushing on the ground per game, so Newton should have success running the ball as well.
Kirk Cousins sneaks into the QB1 conversation this week against a Browns defense that has given up 19, 16 and 18 points in the first three weeks, respectively, to opposing quarterbacks.
Le’Veon Bell is back. Regardless of the matchup, he’s an RB1 for the rest of the season. Don’t believe me?
Per the NFL on ESPN, Bell has averaged 119 yards from scrimmage per game since 2013, which was the best in football coming into the 2016 campaign. That alone, minus touchdowns, means Bell will give you 11 fantasy points per week.
Melvin Gordon could absolutely blow up this week. The New Orleans Saints are giving up 31.7 fantasy points per week to opposing running backs, by far the worst in the NFL. Gordon, meanwhile, is averaging 15.7 fantasy points per week.
That’s a recipe for a huge week.
RB Flex Advice
Theo Riddick is worth adding and starting in your flex this week. Chicago is giving up 20 fantasy points per week to opposing running backs, 24th in the NFL, and Riddick wound up with 17 touches last week.
The Bears defense isn’t good, so Riddick should accumulate more than the 48 yards he posted last Sunday.
RB PPR Notes
If Riddick is a solid option in standard leagues, he’s a fantastic option in PPR formats. He’s already caught 16 passes on the season, meaning he’s a safe bet to haul in at least five passes just about every game.
