Latvia – Latvia LBL round 1 best performance: Kristo Saage

Kristo Saage Point guard Kristo Saage (187-PG-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Valka/Valga, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1.The 31-year old player was the main contributor (20 points and four assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat LU (#9, 0-1) 89-82. Valka/Valga is placed at 3rd position in Latvia LBL. But it’s just the very beginning of the season and Valka/Valga won just one (their first) game. It’s too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team’s last game Saage had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Valka/Valga’s top player in his first season with the team.The second best player in last round’s games was 23-year old Janis Eiduks (200-F-93) of LU.
