CarGo, Miggy, Kershaw set to excel Saturday
- Updated: October 1, 2016
Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.
The players listed below are in position to provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Saturday.
Carlos Gonzalez: In his career, the outfielder has fared best against right-handers (.925 OPS) and at his hitter-friendly home park (1.011 OPS). CarGo could post a difference-making DraftKings total when he hits at Coors Field against Brewers righty Wily Peralta (career 4.22 ERA, 1.42 WHIP).
Charlie Blackmon: Like his teammate Gonzalez, Blackmon has excelled against right-handers (lifetime .829 OPS) and at his offense-inducing home park (lifetime .892 OPS). Hitting leadoff, the outfielder may maximize his opportunities to reach base and score runs against the right-handed Peralta (5.10 ERA, 1.56 WHIP in 2016), who in his career has allowed left-handed hitters such as Blackmon to post an .821 OPS (.709 OPS allowed to righty batters).
Miguel Cabrera: With a lofty lifetime .322/.389/.563 slash line against right-handers, the first baseman has the skills to post a substantial DraftKings total when he faces Braves rookie righty Aaron Blair (8.02 ERA, 1.73 WHIP).
Cameron Maybin: With a lifetime .708 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .666 mark vs. lefties, the outfielder could reach base often against the rookie righty Blair (6.52 FIP). Maybin could also swipe his 16th base of the season against catcher Tyler Flowers, who has thwarted three of 63 would-be basestealers in 2016.
Brian Dozier: Having compiled 42 homers across 608 at-bats, the second baseman has been the most powerful player at his premium position this season. Dozier could go deep when he bats at homer-happy U.S. Cellular Field against fly-ball-prone righty James Shields (5.82 ERA, 2.0 HR/9 rate in 2016).
Anthony Rizzo: With 32 homers, 106 RBIs and 92 runs across 665 plate appearances, the first baseman has been one of the most productive players in baseball this season. From the heart of a Cubs lineup that ranks third in baseball with 790 runs scored, Rizzo could post a substantial DraftKings total at the expense of rookie righty Tim Adleman …
