La Liga Table 2016 Week 7: Updated Standings Following Friday’s Result

Real Sociedad moved up to ninth in La Liga on Friday as they edged out a poor Real Betis side 1-0 at the Estadio Anoeta.
Carlos Vela scored the decisive goal for the hosts as they deservedly ran out winners. Betis struggled to offer an attacking threat for much of the contest, while Sociedad could have scored more if not for an excellent performance from Antonio Adan.

The hosts dominated the ball in the first half—according to Eurosport, they had two-thirds of the possession—but failed to make the most of it.
