WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Olympic Women’s Water Polo Team Head Coach Adam Krikorian was named Team USA Best of the Games this past Wednesday at the Team USA Awards held at Georgetown University. In addition the U.S. Women’s Olympic Water Polo Team was a finalist for Team of the Olympic Games but in a rare defeat in 2016, came up short to the Women’s Gymnastic Team. It was part of a larger announcement from Team USA.Krikorian tweeted after the honor, “No such thing as individual awards, Coach of the Games is a tribute to this entire amazing group of people,” said Krikorian posting a photo of athletes and staff from the 2016 Olympic Games. The awards show – which featured co-hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila and Matt Iseman from NBC’s Emmy nominated series American Ninja Warrior – will be televised on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) on Oct. 4 from 10-11 p.m. ET.The six athlete and team award winners were determined by online fan voting at TeamUSA.org/Awards, where nearly 400,000 fan votes determined 50 percent of the final tally.
