Mendy nearing Leicester return

Leicester midfielder Nampalys Mendy is in contention to make a first appearance in over a month after struggling with an ankle injury.
Manager Claudio Ranieri has confirmed the 24-year-old Frenchman, who signed from Nice in the summer, could make just his third appearance of the season at home to Southampton on Sunday after picking up the knock against Arsenal on August 20.
Ranieri also disclosed that goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is in contention for a first Premier League start in three weeks following a number of fitness issues.
