Violah Jepchumba and Cyprian Kotut set for Cardiff Half Marathon

Violah Jepchumba, the second-fastest half-marathoner in history, is expected to break the Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon course record on Sunday (October 2).
The Kenyan won in Prague in 65:51 this year – a time bettered on valid courses only by Florence Kiplagat. After two more victorious 68-minute performances in Istanbul and Gothenburg in 2016, she returned to the Czech capital this month to clock 30:24 for 10km, missing Paula Radcliffe’s world best by just three seconds.
