Kevin Garnett Offered Spot on Cavaliers Coaching Staff

Kevin Garnett has been retired for less than a week, but he already has an offer for the next phase of his career.
Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue provided an open invitation for the power forward to join the coaching staff Thursday.
“I talked to him about it,” Lue said, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com. “I know his wife is pushing for it a lot. Brandi is pushing for it, trying to get him to come and coach. He says he’s not ready yet. He goes back—’I might do it’—but he’s back and forth. We’ll see. But I’d definitely make a spot for him if he wanted to come back and coach.”
Garnett announced his retirement from the NBA on Friday after spending 21 seasons in the league.
