Coghlan day-to-day with mild left ankle sprain

PITTSBURGH — Cubs outfielder Chris Coghlan left Wednesday’s 8-4 loss to the Pirates in the fifth inning with a mild left ankle sprain suffered when he crashed into the left-field wall. The Cubs wanted to see how he responded overnight, and Coghlan was not expected to play Thursday.
