Dee Milliner Cut by Jets: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

Three years after making Dee Milliner the ninth overall pick in the draft, the New York Jets are releasing the oft-injured cornerback.
ESPN’s Field Yates reported—and Newsday’s Kimberley A. Martin confirmed—that the Jets cut Milliner. Yates noted he is now placed in the waiver system, where all 31 other teams will have the chance to claim him on Thursday.
It’s been a sharp and steep fall from grace for Milliner, who was regarded as one of the top prospects in the 2013 draft coming out of Alabama.
NFL.com’s Mike Mayock ranked him as the No. 2 cornerback in his draft class, behind fellow bust D.J. Hayden.
