Epstein, Cubs agree to 5-year extension

The Cubs and president of baseball operations Theo Epstein have agreed to a five-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.
Epstein’s contract had been set to expire at the end of the season. He joined the Cubs on a five-year contract on Oct. 25, 2011.
