Cavaliers Spent Summer Reliving Championship by Rewatching Game 7 of Finals

That is a date nobody in Cleveland will ever forget. Not fans, and certainly not any members of the Cavaliers.

On that date, LeBron James and Co. broke Cleveland’s title drought by completing a 3-1 series comeback and pulling out an epic 93-89 victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals. That marked the first championship in franchise history as well as the first title by any of the city’s major three sports teams in 52 years.

Knowing all of that, you can understand why the Cavaliers have relived that moment as often as possible.

According to ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst, several Cavaliers players have spent their offseason watching that game on repeat. And yes, the man who knocked down the game-winning shot, Kyrie Irving, is one of them:
