Dale Earnhardt Jr. continues to make progress in his recovery from a concussion and will make an appearance at Dover International Speedway this coming weekend. Jeff Gordon will drive the No. 88 Chevrolet in Sunday’s Citizen Soldier 400.
“It’s going to be different, tough and maybe not a ton of fun,” Earnhardt said. “It’s weird to not be in the car but at the track. When you’re a driver, you don’t know what to do with yourself. I’ll try to support the guys and learn a thing or two. Jeff usually runs great at Dover.”
