• In the D-backs’ 14-4 win over the Nationals, Jean Segura homered twice for the third time in his past 13 games. In his first 613 career games, Segura had a pair of multihomer efforts. With this latest barrage, Segura has four multihomer efforts in 2016 — all from the leadoff spot. Dating back to 1913, he joins the following players to have at least four from the leadoff spot in a season: Felipe Alou (1966), Lou Brock (’67), Bobby Bonds (’75), Brady Anderson (’96), Jose Cruz (2001), Jacque Jones (’02), Alfonso Soriano …
