Weaver departs start with back tightness

ANAHEIM — Jered Weaver exited Monday’s start against the A’s after five innings with low back tightness, according to the Angels.
Weaver threw 71 pitches and allowed one hit and one walk with three strikeouts. He retired the first 14 batters of the game before allowing a single to Danny Valencia in the fifth inning.
