Jewel remains in Cesarewitch mix

The Betfred Cesarewitch at Newmarket “is not off the agenda yet” for Jennies Jewel – despite having disappointed at the Curragh on Sunday.
Jarlath Fahey’s admirable nine-year-old, winner of the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting in June, produced a surprisingly laboured effort in the two-mile Loughbrown Stakes, in which she beat just two horses home.
Jennies Jewel still holds an entry in the Cesarewitch on October 8, with Fahey keeping an open mind about her participation.
