Giants hope Cueto can return for Rockies finale

SAN DIEGO — Right-hander Johnny Cueto will test his strained left groin muscle in a throwing session Tuesday at AT&T Park, which will determine when and if he rejoins the Giants’ starting rotation.
Giants manager Bruce Bochy said, ideally, Cueto would receive Thursday’s starting assignment in the series finale against the Colorado Rockies.
