Astros’ hopes dip despite Springer’s 4-hit night

HOUSTON — Coming off a successful West Coast road trip, the Astros hoped to continue their postseason charge at Minute Maid Park against the Angels, a team they had beaten 11 times in a row. The Angels instead have put a huge dent in Houston’s playoff hopes.
The Angels rallied for four runs in the eighth inning against Houston’s weary bullpen, tagging reliable right-hander Chris Devenski for three runs, to beat the Astros for the third night in a row, 10-4, at Minute Maid Park.
