Votto lines into triple play against Brewers

MILWAUKEE — For the second time this season, the Brewers helped starter Zach Davies out of a jam by turning three.
With runners at first and second base with no outs in the top of the first inning Friday at Miller Park, first baseman Chris Carter snagged Reds slugger Joey Votto’s line drive — 101 mph off the bat, according to Statcast™ — and started the eighth triple play in Brewers history.
