Walsh Jennings and Ross aren’t closing the door on their partnership

Toronto, Canada, September 22, 2016 – Longevity can have its drawbacks. Kerri Walsh Jennings may be a triple Olympic gold medallist but her durability at 38 requires new partners to keep her beach volleyball career going. Having just won another Olympic medal – a bronze – in Rio, the American is on her own again.
Walsh Jennings hooked up with April Ross after the retirement of longtime partner Misty May-Treanor following the 2012 Olympics, but Ross is now planning to start a family, leaving her beach volleyball partner alone again.
Walsh Jennings says she has “no idea” who she will play with next season.
“I don’t want to be hasty and just find an answer to have an answer,” she told NBC Sports in an interview at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals in Toronto. “I want to do it right and take some time. For the first time in my career there are so many unknowns.”
