European Open 2016: Thursday Leaderboard Scores and Highlights

Bernd Wiesberger played a blistering round of eight-under to take the lead on the first day of golf’s European Open on Thursday, as play was delayed due to heavy fog for more than three hours in Bad Griesbach, Germany.
The final groups of the day couldn’t tee off until well past 5 p.m. local time, but conditions improved during the day, with the greens playing remarkably fast.
Wiesberger leads Renato Paratore by two shots, with several players, including Lucas Bjerregaard, tied for third at five-under. Here’s a look at the leaderboard after Thursday’s action:
