Why management for Bullard?

Jimmy Bullard will be looking to show his serious side when he takes charge of his first home game as Leatherhead manager on Saturday.
The 37-year-old saw his playing career come to an end after a short stint with MK Dons in 2012, but he is now back in the game after taking over as boss of the Ryman Premier Division side earlier this week.
His managerial career started with the heartbreak of a last-minute equaliser costing him a debut win, with the former Wigan, Fulham and Hull midfielder having to settle for a 1-1 draw at Folkestone Invicta.
But, after becoming a television personality following the end of his playing career – including presenting a football show on London Live, appearing on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Soccer AM – Bullard knows he now has to show everyone he is serious about forging a career as a manager.
“That is going to be the biggest question out there,” he said when asked by Press Association Sport if it would be difficult to shake his reputation as a funny man.
