Darrelle Revis Comments on Questions About Conditioning, More

The New York Jets are off to a 1-1 start in 2016, but cornerback Darrelle Revis has looked far from the shutdown corner who earned the designation “Revis Island” earlier in his career.
On Wednesday, Dennis Waszak Jr. of the Associated Press (h/t the Cleveland Daily Banner) noted some have questioned whether the 31-year-old still has the physical skill set to be the Hall of Fame-caliber player he was in his prime. There was also a report that Revis arrived at training camp out of shape, but the cornerback said he thought that was a shot from a former agent.
“He’s just taking shots,” Revis said. “But, it’s fine. Like I said, you take the good with the bad. That was a shot. But it’s all good.”
When asked whether he thought the story came from his former agents, Revis replied, “No doubt.”
