BALTIMORE — The Red Sox are running away with the American League East.
Boston — which loaded the bases twice prior — made the third time the charm on Wednesday night, scoring five unearned runs in the sixth inning to pick up its season-high seventh win, 5-1 over the Orioles. The victory puts the Sox a season-high 24 games over .500 and increases their AL East lead to a season-high five games over Toronto with 10 games to go. Baltimore, meanwhile, still holds the second AL Wild Card despite the loss.
