RBI-leader Arenado’s slam catalyzes Rockies

DENVER — Even if his name doesn’t appear high on voters’ lists for the National League Most Valuable Player Award, Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is happy to just keep contributing for his team.
Wednesday was no exception, as he led the way offensively in the Rockies’ 11-1 win over the Cardinals with a grand slam in a 2-for-3 afternoon at Coors Field.
Arenado’s Statcast-projected 424-foot shot in the second was key for the Rockies, as it gave them the lead after the Cardinals tied the game in the top of the inning.
