Barcelona and Atletico Madrid shared the spoils in Wednesday’s anticipated La Liga clash, as the two Spanish giants played out a 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou in Week 5.

Real Madrid had the chance to make history by setting a new La Liga record for consecutive wins, but as shared by former England international Gary Lineker, Villarreal had other ideas:

Ivan Rakitic and Angel Correa took care of the scoring in Wednesday’s top clash, with Barcelona and Atletico playing out a 1-1 draw.

The hosts, Barcelona, had a slight advantage in the first half and took the lead shortly before half-time, as Rakitic was left wide open on a great cross from Andres Iniesta.
