Davis improving from illness, remains out

OAKLAND — A’s outfielder Khris Davis, sent home Tuesday night with a stomach ailment, remained out of the lineup for Wednesday afternoon’s series finale against the Astros.
Oakland manager Bob Melvin said Wednesday morning Davis was at the Coliseum and “feeling a little better” but did not expect him to play.
Davis joined the 40-homer club Sunday in Texas and is just one shy of 100 RBIs. Frank …
