Altuve tallies 200 hits for 3rd straight season

OAKLAND — Astros All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve cranked out his 200th hit of the season in the eighth inning of Tuesday’s game against the A’s, becoming the first player to have three consecutive 200-hit season since Ichiro Suzuki (2001-10) and first right-handed hitter since Michael Young (2003-07).
The hit came on a one-out chopper over the head of Oakland third baseman Ryon Healy off pitcher Liam Hendriks.
