• Rick Porcello went the distance on a four-hitter (seven strikeouts, no walks) and improved to 21-4 in Boston’s 5-2 win over the Orioles. In addition to leading the American League with 21 wins, Porcello also paces the AL with a 0.978 WHIP and a 6.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio. His 21 wins are the most for a Red Sox pitcher since Curt Schilling had 21 in 2004. Porcello could be the first Boston pitcher to lead the AL in wins since Josh Beckett (20) in ’07.
