Langston, Ecclestone selected in ODI squad

England have included two uncapped players for their five ODIs in the West Indies next month. Beth Langston and Sophie Ecclestone, who have only played T20 internationals before, are included a touring squad of 15.
Langston, a right-arm seamer, has recovered from a broken thumb suffered in training and is expected to be fit for the second half of the series, having last been involved with England in the Caribbean three years ago. Ecclestone, 17, is one of two slow left-arm bowlers in the squad, alongside Alex Hartley, who is selected for her first tour.
England will be without batsman Fran Wilson, who suffered a broken finger in training last week, but are otherwise at full strength and looking to continue the momentum of their record-breaking series against Pakistan. The tour will be Heather Knight’s first overseas assignment since taking the captaincy after Charlotte Edwards’ retirement.
