Ghana’s Starlets shine past Ivorian neighbours

Ghana beat neighbours Cote d’Ivoire 3-1 on Sunday in the first leg of the third and final round of the played at the Cape Coast stadium.
The early dominance of the Black Starlets saw them take into the lead on 29 minutes through Eric Ayiah, after a well-worked interposition play from defence, midfield to attack.
The visiting ‘Les Elephanteaux’ were no pushovers and had a couple decent chances in the first half, but failed to break into the Ghanaian backline.
Two minutes after the first goal, the Starlets increased their tally with the second goal courtesy Emmanuel Toku to send the home fans into a jubilant mood.
The homers increased the tally with the third goal on 62nd minutes through Ayiah, his second on the day.
