Van Aanholt withdrawn after scan

David Moyes says Patrick Van Aanholt was withdrawn from Sunday’s game against Tottenham on the advice of the Football Association due to the results of a standard cardiology scan.
The results were given to Sunderland at 3.55pm for the 4.30 kick-off and they were advised not to play him by the FA. The club then decided to withdraw the player. Moyes said: ‘All we can say is the player has done some standard tests with a cardiologist and those tests meant that the FA had to check them [the test results].
